Almost there....

Well when we sent the first newsletter I remember we said we’re never gonna stop waiting on God and guess what - we’re still here in Yucaipa, waiting!! That has nothing to do with God’s promises or with our faith; it’s all about waiting for His timing-so He continues to purify us… Continuing to wait on Him it’s a choice we have to make every day…it is like we feel that fire …but when we are gonna look back we know that we were made much better through fire, through painful circumstances, through dim and vague moments, through problems and troubles, through trials and persecution. We are learning that through these things -- through becoming an offering made by fire and becoming a burnt offering -- we become an aroma pleasing to the Lord. How wonderful and amazing to know that the God of this universe would care to make us a wonderful treasure untouched by any impurities. Instead of getting mad and confused why we experience such things, we choose to get on our knees and thank God that He wants us to be a sweet aroma pleasing to Him, that He is preparing us and wants to use us in New Zealand and right now in Yucaipa.
So even though we knew going to New Zealand might not happen that fast, it still caught us by surprise, but it is comforting to know that it comes as no surprise to Him, that HE has us exactly where He wants us to be. We continue to trust in God’s sovereignty submitting to whatever the Lord has in store for our lives, regardless of what we thought it should be, knowing and standing on Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future and Romans 8:38 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose.
So …just to let you know… we are still planning to move to New Zealand, our house it’s done deal, moved in with the in-laws, and made good money on our 2 yard-sales. We haven’t sold either of the cars- but that ended up being a blessing. Another blessing is that we both told our jobs we were done in December, but they were really gracious to us and we got to keep our jobs till we leave. As for now we are shooting for mid July.

So what’s new?
I’M AMERICAN …believe it or not but that it’s true! I just have to be sworn in.
We had High School camp this past weekend. It was a sweet time with the Lord and those kids. God really moved and broke downs walls. It will be good to see these kids grow deeper in their relationships with the Lord.

What s coming up?
Weddings … My sister Mandy is getting married in April. And I believe on some cult calendar it is the year of the wedding :) j/k
We will be applying for our visas soon. They said they won't look at the applications more then 3 months in advance of when we want to leave. so we can't even apply until May.

Prayer requests...
The visa paper work for New Zealand to go through smoothly
For continual peace under one roof... living with 5 people under one roof can get a little crazy at times, but God is good and has blessed us with a good family

Praise Reports...
Tecla is an American Citizen
That will help with travels every where.
We are living at Jake's parents house so saving money.
And that God is faithful in all things
Thanks and God bless

Finally

Finally!!
We waited, no less and no longer than 3 years!! And the Lord has opened the door. We are going to New Zealand!! We re both excited and thrilled to see what the Lord is going to do. I mean it s crazy already!! We have a house, a car and all that we gathered all along to sell!! Biggest yard sell!!!!!!!!!
Well…this is what’s important: DO WHAT YOU CAN AND THE LORD WILL FOR SURE DO WHAT YOU CAN NOT!!
Ultimately then, waiting upon God protects us, deepens our trust in Him, forces us to seek His ways and brings Him the most glory.
Somebody said once that: “Waiting on God is the special process through which the Lord causes our eyes to turn to Him for help in time of need. By extending the duration or distress of our trial even a little bit, our weaknesses become apparent.” While waiting, God has broken us down, and picked us again; it’s not easy to wait on God, but let me tell you—it is THE BEST! Our faith is proved, and our hope is purified. THE Lord lives forever!!
Waiting upon the Lord were times when we did not have resources, answers, or direction. Instead we were often confused, poor, broken and limited. Our hope was focused on what will happen after that season of waiting, where we will experience a period of God’s blessing. We knew that if we live by confidence in our own resources and abilities, we will become self-confident. What glory does that bring to God?! What about all those years spent in Bible College? Did we get trained for something, anything? Through this process of waiting, God enabled us to depend upon Him so that we know it is only He who does wonderful things in our lives. And now WE’RE FLYING ON EAGLE’S WINGS!!! Not really, we’re flying Air New Zealand. We will run and not get tired, we will walk and not get weary!
Does that solve our waiting; is our process of waiting done? Nonetheless. Keeps on going.
So what’s the plan? We re selling our house, our car and we are shooting to start 2010 in New Zealand.
What do we need? Spiritual and financial support.
What’s in New Zealand? Besides grasslands and forests, the Kiwi and Notornis flightless birds, bazillions of sheep, the Tuatara lizard, THE WALSHES are there starting a Bible College.
These Pictures are a short version of what happened these past 3 years

Who needs work?

Well this is the first time I have ever not had work and it is a whole week off. Due to a lack of jobs. We should have more coming up.
Here is the funny thing, I have been wanting this. I have been waiting for this to happen to see where or what God is going to do.
It has been a good to days or relaxing and studying for Sundays (teaching at high school youth group) and Wednesdays (high school guys study). So we will see.
God is in control and He knows what He is doing. I am excited to be a part of what is next and to be in a situation that I am reliying on faith and not my check book
Love you guys talk to you soon

Vacation Bible School

Well, two weeks ago Tecla and I were in the vacation Bible school at our church. It was awesome and was a hit. The kids still call me Sir Bif-a-lot, that was my name. The theme was back to the futre. Tecla was Marty's Dad, Gorge.
We had a blast. We were in the scit and the kids were awesome, water fights, praising God, and learning about how to walk by faith. I am sorry I don't have pics yet but I will upload some soon.
Love you all and please feel free to email or call.

Paintball.....

Well as some of you know I have played paintball for a few years. That doesn't mean I am any good or anything, just that I enjoy playing :)
So since we have come back to the States I have tried to get Tecla to go play with me but she never would until this past Saturday.
Well a few months ago she went with some friends from work. So I finally convinced her to go with me.
Well lets just say we call her the "Romanian Nightmare" She was awesome.
She Killed 5 guys. Two of them they were hiding behind a bunker and she ran up next to them and shot them. She couldn't have been more the 5 feet away when she shot them and they shot her.
Oh yeah she has some battle wounds.
This picture is on Her thigh. It is ugly and it hurts. So she says :)
